The front door of every home must withstand attacks from intruders with criminal intentions. It plays a crucial role in protecting our property and the integrity of our homes. A good solution for ensuring security is the various models of armored doors. They have reinforced constructions made of metal, with embedded strengthening elements that make the door impenetrable. Special attention is paid to the locking mechanisms. Some armored doors have two locking mechanisms with special secret patterns or invisible external locks to maximize resistance to break-in attempts.

Armored doors may have different design features during manufacturing. Their overall design is aimed at maximum durability, security, and resistance against intrusion. This is achieved by using sturdy metal frames mounted to the wall and door leaf made of metal profiles and sheet. Locking the armored doors is done with mechanical, electromechanical, or electronic locks. The secret keys used can have different levels of security and may be protected with anti-drilling, cutting, or bumping features.

The installation of armored doors is crucial for the final result. Besides securely attaching to the wall through welding or anchoring, any remaining gaps are filled with mounting foam. The entire process, from taking measurements, through manufacturing, to installation, requires precision in every detail. The goal is to prevent any attempts at penetration or breakage. With an anti-burglary lockset, the armored door provides reliable protection against theft.

Armored door models depend on the external finish, which varies in quality and material type, color range, design, and details (handles, peepholes, additional decorative elements). The front door is the hallmark of a home and creates the first impression on visitors. It should impress and deter intruders, as it is proven that individuals with criminal intentions tend to avoid breaking into armored doors.

When placing an order, the client has the opportunity to customize their door by adding various extras or choosing different types of locks and patterns:

- Additional interior lock

- Peepholes

- External Garda lock

- Automatic adjustable threshold

- High-security patterns from brands like Evva, Keso, Mul-T-Lock, Abloy

The surface finish of the door leaf and frame can be selected according to the interior or purpose of the door. Options include laminated MDF in several colors, painted MDF, Kraft Master panels with different designs and colors, weather-resistant MDF painted according to RAL colors, and HPL if the door is exposed to atmospheric conditions.

Some of these surfaces can be milled, painted or chosen from our catalog. These milling patterns add individuality to the doors and can be combined with the interior of the home.

ARMORED AND METAL DOORS

Each of us wants the best for ourselves and our families. When it comes to security, there should be no compromises. So, here comes the important question - what kind of door should we install in our home?

Metal and armored doors are often sought after. While armored doors are metallic, not all metal doors are necessarily armored.

ADVANTAGES OF ARMORED DOORS

The main advantage of armored doors is their resistance to break-ins. To choose the right door, one must understand the differences between the various classes of doors. A quality door is distinguished by being made from high-grade, corrosion-resistant metals with a certain thickness. The advantage of these armored doors is that they are significantly more durable over time and resistant to various deformations.

The construction of the door includes several components: locking system (lock and multi-point locking system), pattern (important detail is the reinforcement of the pattern), frame, and leaf.

LOCK

Locks can be mechanical, motorized, or electromechanical. Mechanical locks are the most common, followed by electromechanical ones (a mechanical lock with an electronic system assisting its operation), and finally motorized locks. Motorized locks can be controlled in various ways - with magnetic cards, GSM, or transponders.

The next important aspect is the protective system of the lock, which can be a multi-point locking system, with a blocking system in case of attempted break-ins, and others.

PATTERN

Another important aspect is the choice of pattern. Moreover, for better results, it is advisable not to skimp on reinforcing the pattern. Made of hardened steel, it is placed in front of the pattern to protect it. This is done to make it as difficult as possible for thieves to break into the door.

Key characteristics of good patterns are high number of working cycles, durability in extreme weather conditions, resistance to corrosion, impacts, and drilling. Like with locks, we can generalize patterns into three main categories - low class, medium class, and high class. For the first two, we won't compromise, and logically, when price leads, compromising on security is risky. Therefore, the most recommended approach is to invest in a high-class locking system. Our consultants would recommend one of the proven market brands - Abloy, Evva, Mul-T-Lock, or Keso.

FRAME

The door frame is made of steel profiles, which can be painted in a color of choice or covered with natural wood, laminated panels, and others.

LEAF

The leaf consists of a reinforced frame, on which a steel sheet is welded, filled with insulating material of mineral wool, polystyrene (known as Styrofoam), or stone wool. This construction is covered with decorative panels of laminated MDF, painted MDF, and others.

If we return to the beginning, everything said so far is most important for our door to remain reliable and secure against attempts at penetration. We must ensure that we have a robust construction, with high resistance to breakage, made of high-quality materials.

INSTALLATION

And now, having acquired our dream armored door, having fulfilled all requirements, checked painstakingly online, and our pattern cannot be broken even by Superman. What more could there be? Installation. Here we can give you an example - you have the highest quality products for bread, but you leave them in the hands of someone who has never heard of yeast. The result? Tears. This can be the case even with the installation of our armored door if it is not done professionally.

There are several moments to pay attention to. First, how installation begins - an essential element is driving metal rods into the wall itself, which ensures solidity. Then we must ensure that the leaf of the door is properly installed because even the most expensive door, with poor installation, will not fulfill its purpose.

Not least, attention should be paid to where the door will be installed. Whether it will be exposed to external weather conditions or not. This will determine what material will be used for the decorative panel of the door lock. Briefly - we must ensure that we trust a company with a proven track record and a team of professionals.
